RISHA celebrates
Better Hearing and Speech Month

Celebrating Better Hearing and Speech Month on May 8 at the State House are (l. to r.) Pattie Bellini, Brenda Mallicoat, Ellen Connery, Ellen Moore, Kathy Lake, Liz Cavanaugh, Eve Sadd, Alan Gravell, Hanna Gallo, Al Lake, Nancy Cordy, and DeAnne Owre.

Twelve members of the RISHA Executive Board and Schools Committee helped raise awareness of communication disorders with a table displaying facts about speech, language, and hearing as well as gifts of pencils, tablets, bookmarks, and chocolate lips for state legislators and visitors to the State House.  Our very own state Senator Hanna Gallo, SLP, introduced the RISHA members in the Senate chamber, and a proclamation for Better Hearing and Speech Month was read.  Thank you, Hanna, for all your efforts on behalf of RISHA in our state legislature.
